Upgrade 6th August 2014 — Extra delay node options for programs

Scheduled maintenance and upgrade for dotmailer on 6th August 2014 includes the following upgrades and changes:

Program builder updates

We've added more configuration options for delay nodes. Previously you've been able to wait x number of days or wait until a set time of day. However, now it's possible to:

  • wait until a set day or days of the week
  • wait until a set day of the month, which can be selected as the 1st through to the 31st or 'last' day of the month, or as the first, second, third, fourth or last Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday of the month
  • wait until a set date

New API methods

We've added two new methods to our REST and SOAP API v2. Whereas you had been able to retrieve a list of link clicks or opens for a specified campaign, you can now retrieve them after a specified date.

  • http://api.dotmailer.com/v2/api.svc#op.ApiService.GetCampaignOpensSinceDate

Other improvements

We've also upgraded and tweaked several other features including:

  • The 'Top five email clients' chart on the campaign overview reporting page has been modified and improved
  • All tooltips are now fully consistent throughout the app, including those in the surveys and forms tool
  • When deleting a classic survey, all dependencies to non-default contact data fields are now also removed; this wasn’t previously happening
  • Inbox preview and spam filter test results weren’t rendering correctly due to problems with the HTML markup; this has now been fixed
  • When creating triggered campaign content by copying a sent campaign, it was incorrectly resulting in the campaign type being set as ‘standard’, not ‘triggered’; this no longer happens
  • In EasyEditor, a scrolling issue which could cause the page to jump around has been fixed
  • Administrators can now make shared suppression list modifications to their group whilst suppression imports are in progress; previously this activity was blocked
  • A small number of interface issues that remained outstanding following our redesign of 9th July have now been fixed
  • More helpful error messaging is now provided when attempting to add complex transactional data via the API
  • In a campaign’s report overview, the ‘Top 5 email clients’ bar chart’s bars were displaying as white on white and thus were invisible; this is no longer the case
  • Issues connected to adding items to Likert scales in classic surveys have now been fixed
  • There was a problem when attempting to upload documents to the document manager in IE9; this has been fixed
  • Invalid phone numbers can no longer cause account editing pages to crash
  • Layout issues affecting a transactional data segmentation modal have been fixed
  • The ‘Sort by’ dropdown is now hidden in the report display options when there is nothing available to sort by
