The highlights of dotmailer's scheduled maintenance and upgrade for 13th May 2015 are as follows:
- We've made some changes to the way bounce settings are configured. You can configure your bounce settings by going to Contacts > Suppressed contacts > Bounce settings (this tab used to be called 'Bounce thresholds'). Only the number of soft bounces allowed before suppression can now be changed (the default is four, whilst the maximum is five); we've removed the ability to configure hard bounces.
The options to decide what happens when the soft bounce setting is exceeded have been removed, as exceeding it will simply result in suppression.
Contacts are now suppressed after one hard bounce.
Accounts with settings that were above the new maximums have now had these automatically reduced.
These changes have been added to protect your deliverability and to adhere with deliverability best practice.
