Dotdigital for Microsoft Dynamics connector allows you to synchronise form responses data to your Contact and Lead records.

Before you start

Things you need to know:

  • You must build and publish your forms in Dotdigital.

Learn how in Create a form.

Synchronise your forms

To set up automatic synchronisation of your form data from Dotdigital to Microsoft Dynamics:

  1. Go to Email Accounts under Settings in the left side menu.

  2. Select an account.

  3. Select Scheduled Sync Settings.

  4. Set the Interval and Sync window for the Forms sync type.

  5. Select Save.

Learn more about Scheduled Sync Settings in Administration Settings in Microsoft Dynamics.

You might be working on a form and want to retrieve the latest statistics immediately, without waiting for the next automatic synchronisation.

To manually synchronise a form:

  1. Go to Forms under Dotdigital in the left side menu.

  2. Select the checkbox next to a form name.

  3. Select Synchronise in the toolbar at the top of the page.

Hidden field values

Synchronisation of hidden field values is not currently supported. For these fields there is a blank entry instead under Display value.

To ensure data from hidden fields can be synchronised, you can assign the hidden field to a Contact data field in Dotdigital, and then map this to an Email Data Label in Microsoft Dynamics.

Find out how to map a Dotdigital Contact data field to Microsoft Dynamics in Email Data Labels in Microsoft Dynamics.

View your Forms

To view your Forms within Microsoft Dynamics, go to Forms under Dotdigital in the left side menu.

The screen displays a list of forms and across each row you can see the summary data which provides an at-a-glance view of the form details.

By default, your active forms are displayed. To see inactive forms, expand the Active Forms drop-down menu and select Inactive Forms.
