Send a campaign to a segment

Learn to send an email campaign to a segment.

Overview

There are two ways to send a campaign to a segment.

Before you start

Things you need to know:

  • You must already have created some segments in your account.
    To learn more, check out the article Create a segment.

While creating a campaign

After creating and testing an email campaign, you can choose your audience. To send to a segment:

  1. Under Choose an audience, select Choose address books, segments or marketing preferences, and select the Segments tab.

  2. Find the segment you want to send to, and select its check box.
  3. Continue to send your campaign.

After creating a campaign

To send an already created campaign to a segment:

  1. Go to Email.
  2. Find the campaign you want to send and select Send.

  3. Under Choose an audience, select Choose address books, segments or marketing preferences, and select the Segments tab.

  4. Find the segment you want to send to and select its check box.
  5. Continue to send your campaign.

Refresh a segment before a scheduled send

When scheduling a campaign to send to a segment or segments, a checkbox option is available to refresh segments before the scheduled send time. Select the check box to make sure segments are up-to-date at the time of send.

Refreshing a segment might delay a scheduled send by a few minutes.
