The Transactional email dashboard shows you an account-wide visual overview of your transactional emails.

Before you start

Things you need to know:

  • You must have transactional email enabled on your account.

  1. Go to Analytics > Dashboards

  2. Expand the MORE DASHBOARDS drop-down menu and select Transactional email.

Change the dashboard date range

To change the date range of the data shown on the dashboard:

  1. Select DATE RANGE in the top right.

  2. Choose either a pre-defined date range, or select Custom date range and then enter a start and end date.

  3. Optionally, select the Set as default checkbox to retain this date setting for future visits.

  4. Select APPLY.

Change the table display

To change the columns visible in the table

  1. Select DISPLAY at the top right of the table.

  2. Select the checkboxes for the metrics you want to display.
Choices selected here also apply to exports of this data.

  3. Select APPLY.

Reporting tiles

At the top of the dashboard, four tiles show the following data for your selected timeframe:

  • number of transactional emails sent

  • number delivered

  • total opens

  • total clicks for links within the transactional emails

The data is shown as a number and a percentage for each tile.

Reporting graph and table

The graph displays a visual representation of your transactional email metrics over the selected period. Each coloured line represents one of transactional emails delivered, opened, clicked and bounced. There is a key at the bottom of the graph.

Below the graph, there is a table detailing each transactional email that was sent. This shows you the date and time of the send, the email address it was sent to, the email subject line, the total email opens and clicks, and the delivery status.

If you sent your transactional emails using a triggered campaign template, the table shows the associated campaign ID and name used at the time of the send. These columns are available in the export and can be used for reporting purposes to know how many emails were sent using a particular campaign name or ID.

Download a transactional email

Select the Download icon to download and view the transactional email on your device.

Transactional email campaign downloads are kept for 90 days. After this time, you can’t download the campaign.

Delete campaign data

To delete details from the table, select the checkbox next to the record and then select DELETE. This removes the email address you sent to, but any opens and clicks data is kept.

Be GDPR compliant

This allows you to be GDPR compliant when a contact wants you to remove them from your transactional email reporting.

Filter by status

The table shows successfully delivered emails by default. To filter the table by delivery status, expand the SHOW SUCCESSES ONLY drop-down menu, then select Show failures to see which sends were not successful.

Search for a contact

Enter a full or partial contact email address into the Search field to find them in the table.

Export a report

To download data from the table as a .csv file:

  1. Expand the EXPORT drop-down menu.

  2. Select Export all.

  3. You’re taken to the Exports area. Select Download to access your file.
If you don’t want to export the file at the current time, you can do so at any point in the following 7 days from export. To do this:

    1. Expand the User menu and go to Settings > General > Exports.

    2. Find the file you want and select Download.
