Learn how to use the Zapier trigger for Dotdigital.

A trigger is an event that starts a Zap. Triggers are followed by actions. The Dotdigital app for Zapier has one trigger, which is a new form response.

Triggers can be followed by actions in any Zapier app. For example, Zapier has the following pre-built Zaps that you can use:


Trigger an action after a new form response

Before you start

  • You must have the Surveys, pages, and forms tool to be able to use this trigger. Contact your Customer Success representative if you need to discuss.

This trigger is fired every time you receive a new response to a selected survey, page, or form.

  1. In Zapier, select + Create and then select Zaps.

  2. Select Trigger and then select Dotdigital.

  3. Expand the Event drop-down menu and select New Survey Response, then select Continue.

  4. Expand the Survey drop-down menu and select the survey or form that you want to monitor for new responses

  5. Select Continue.

  6. Select Test trigger to check the trigger is working correctly.

  • You can either create a filter to set a specific condition between your tigger and action, for example, when an Email address field response contains gmail.com, for responses to continue to the action
