On 1 April 2022, Microsoft is making changes that will affect authentication using Microsoft Office 365.

You can find the full details about this update on the Microsoft article Important changes (deprecations) coming in Power Apps and Power Automate. To keep things simple, here's a summary of the changes:

  • Microsoft is deprecating the Office 365 authentication type for all new and existing environments by April 1, 2022

  • Microsoft is removing a security protocol (WS-Trust) that is inherently insecure by current encryption standards.

  • Microsoft plans to guide developers away from the Office 365 authentication flow and assist in utilising the capabilities of Azure Active Directory to secure and protect applications and customers in the Dataverse.

If this change affects you, we recommend that you check your systems are updated in line with Microsoft's recommendations and take any action you need before the changes on 1 April, 2022.

If you don't adjust your Dynamics instance to use OAuth, then we might not be able to establish a connection to your Org.

If you have any questions about whether these changes affect you, we recommend you speak with your CRM consultant.

Already moved to OAuth?

If you've already moved to OAuth, we’ll detect it automatically, and there should be nothing else you need to do.

However, if you have already moved over to Oauth and have lost connectivity, contact our support team for assistance.
