These are the Dotdigital for Microsoft Dynamics release notes for 2020, with the latest release at the top descending in historical order.

Release notes

Engagement Cloud for Microsoft Dynamics released 18 November 2020

On 18 November 2020, we released the following features and product fixes for these versions:

  • 9.1.0.2 for Microsoft Dynamics 365

  • 7.1.0.1 for 2015/2016

  • 6.1.0.1 for 2013

Improvements and fixes

  • Once you upgrade to latest solution, you can access these features:

    • We revamped the Marketing List UI, so it’s easier to navigate.

    • You can now add up to 20 data labels for email single sends.

    • Delete and Deactivate are now hidden in the Email Account form ribbon to avoid confusion and prevent accidental deletion of email accounts.

    • There’s now a Members area where you can check your target audience before sending email campaigns.

    • We’ve made it possible for you to link your Engagement Cloud email campaigns and surveys to your Microsoft Dynamics campaigns by using the Parent Campaign field.

    • The Email Settings tab now appears as the Summary tab.

    • You can now create static or dynamic marketing lists by using the Email Marketing form.

Engagement Cloud for Microsoft Dynamics released 21 October 2020

On 21 October 2020, we released the following features and product fixes:

Improvements and fixes

  • We've added some new Microsoft Dynamics servers and a new sync engine. If you're a Microsoft Dynamics user, you must add a new IP address to your allow list.

    • For Europe (region 1)

    • For North America (region 2)

    • For Asia Pacific (region 3)

  • When there are duplicate CRM contacts, email campaign sends and click report results are now always synced to the oldest linked contact, lead, or account.

Engagement Cloud for Microsoft Dynamics released 08 April 2020

On 08 April 2020, we released the following features and product fixes:

Improvements and fixes

  • The Sync Audit table now shows failed scheduled syncs.

  • Suppression syncs no longer fail when a contact or lead’s CRM entity ID doesn’t match the ID in the CRM.

  • We discovered that Sync once a month wasn’t in our code, and if selected, was only running once a day; we deprecated this from the UI.

Engagement Cloud for Microsoft Dynamics released 12 March 2020

On 12 March 2020, we released the following features and product fixes:

Improvements and fixes

  • We made some UI enhancements to improve the user experience.

  • We fixed a bug where users of Microsoft Dynamics 365 can now select Manage Members on Dynamic lists without experiencing problems.

  • If you’re browsing Engagement Cloud through Microsoft Dynamics 365 with Unified Interface, it no longer loads the page twice each time you go to a new page.

On 12 February 2020, we released the following features and product fixes:

Improvements and fixes

  • You can now access a new solution for Microsoft Dynamics 365 that supports both Classic and Unified Interface, solution number 9.0.1.0. Enhancements for Unified Interface includes:

    • Easier access, navigation and usability

    • Lighter solution for smoother upgrades

    • No modals (pop-ups)

Engagement Cloud for Microsoft Dynamics released 29 January 2020

On 29 January 2020, we released the following features and product fixes:

Improvements and fixes

  • We've made our web behavior data sync more powerful; it no longer fails when pulling large amounts of data.

  • You can now successfully add contacts or leads to automate programs, even when the contact or lead has never been synced to Engagement Cloud before.

  • Surveys and forms now sync from Engagement Cloud to Microsoft Dynamics as expected.

  • Email single sends no longer show the Send status as Sent for contacts that are suppressed; this now shows as Failed.

  • Email campaign syncs now link campaign details to existing Microsoft Dynamics contacts and leads.

Engagement Cloud for Microsoft Dynamics released 15 January 2020

On 15 January 2020, we released the following features and product fixes:

Improvements and fixes

  • We fixed the problem where an error should no longer occur while deleting a contact as part of a marketing list sync.

  • WebInsight syncs are now more efficient.

  • SQL timeouts no longer cause email campaigns to not send.
