Account analytics for email

Learn how to use account analytics to examine your email marketing data across your account.

Overview

Account analytics is a great way to view all of your email marketing data from your account in one place. Account analytics can help you:

  • See how your account is performing - where are you excelling and where do you need more focus.
  • Export all email data into .CSV files for further data analytics.

Access Account analytics for email

To access Account analytics for email, go to Analytics and select the Email tab.

Manage reporting data

To get started with Account analytics, you need to choose the time period you want to see data for.

Set date range
Use the date range filter to show data from a specific period of time.

  1. Select DATE RANGE in the top-right to open the Date options side panel.

  2. Choose either Pre-defined date range or, if you want to choose specific dates, select Custom date range.
    1. For Pre-defined date range, expand the date range drop-down menu and select your pre-defined date range.
    2. For Custom date range, use the date picker to choose your Start date and End date.
      You can select a maximum date span of 2 years.
  3. Select APPLY.

Add campaign tag filter
You can add campaign tag filters, to add tagged campaigns to your analytics:

  1. Select FILTER in the top-right to open the Campaign tag filter side panel.

  2. Select the checkboxes for the campaign tags you want to include in your analytics.
      • Select the Tag name checkbox at the top to quickly include or exclude all campaign tags.
      • Enter campaign tags into the search bar to find specific campaign tags.

  3. Select APPLY.

Email highlights

Use the email highlights tiles to see an overview of metrics from your account.
To change the metric displayed on individual tiles, expand the title for the tile and choose a metric from the drop-down menu.

Metric performance

Use the metric performance graph to compare up to six metrics from across your account.

Add metrics to the graph
To add a metric to the graph:

  1. Select EDIT to open the metrics side panel.

  2. Select the + button and choose a metric to add to the graph.

  3. Select APPLY.
    To remove a metric from the graph select the X button next to a metric.

Date granularity selector

To choose how the graph displays date data:

  1. Expand the graph’s date granularity drop-down menu.
  2. Choose a new date granularity from the list.

Statistics

Statistics shows you all of your email metrics from across your account.

Display metrics
To display metrics on the table:

  1. Select DISPLAY.
  2. Select the checkboxes next to the metrics you want to add.

  3. Select APPLY.

Campaign performance for single campaign

Use the single campaign performance graph to compare multiple metrics for a single campaign.

Choose the graph’s campaign

To choose a campaign to display data from:

  1. Select the graph’s SHOW button.

  2. For Campaign type, choose STANDARD or TRIGGERED to display your standard or triggered campaigns.

  3. Select a campaign from the list.

Add metrics to the graph

To add a metric to the graph:

  1. Select EDIT to open the metrics side panel.

    To remove a metric from the graph select the X button next to the metric.

Campaign performance for multiple campaigns

Use the multiple campaigns performance graph to compare multiple campaigns against a single metric.

Choose the graph’s metric

To choose the graph’s performance metric:

  1. Select SHOW, to expand the metrics drop-down menu.

  2. Choose a metric from the menu.

Add campaigns to the graph

To add a campaign to the graph:

  1. Select EDIT to open the campaigns side panel.

  3. For Campaign type, choose STANDARD or TRIGGERED to display your standard or triggered campaigns.

  4. Select a campaign from the list.
  5. Select APPLY.
    To remove a campaign from the graph select the X button next to the campaign.

Date granularity selector

To choose how the graph displays date data:

  1. Select the graph’s current date granularity.
  2. Choose a new date granularity from the list.

Campaign comparison

Use the campaign comparison table to view all selected campaigns’ metrics.

Add campaigns to the table

To add campaigns to the table:

  1. Select ADD / REMOVE CAMPAIGN to open the campaigns side panel.

  2. Select ADD.
  3. For Campaign type, choose STANDARD or TRIGGERED to display your standard or triggered campaigns.

  4. Select the checkbox next to the campaigns you want to add.
    A maximum of 20 campaigns can be selected.
  5. Select SELECT.
    To remove a campaign from the table select the X button next to the campaign or select CLEAR ALL to remove all campaigns from the table.

Display metrics
To display metrics on the table:

  1. Select DISPLAY.

Order the table
You can order the table’s data by selecting any of the metrics in the column headers, or selecting Sort by in the DISPLAY side panel.

Export CSV file

You can export data as a .CSV file from the following areas of Account analytics:

  • Email highlights - select EXPORT .CSV
  • Statistics - select EXPORT.
  • Campaign comparison - select EXPORT and choose Export table or Export all campaigns.
    • Export table exports the table displayed.
    • Export all campaigns exports all campaigns and metrics, as well as all columns, regardless of which columns you have selected on the page.
