You can automatically send abandoned browse emails using programs designed to detect if a visitor has browsed products on your site.
If the visitor ends their browsing session without making a purchase, they’re enrolled into the abandoned browse program, which sends your campaign.
1. Select a template
In Dotdigital, go to Automation > Triggered email.
Select ADD NEW.
Choose a template or start from scratch with a blank template.
Enter a name and choose a location.
Enter your campaign details.
Select SAVE & CONTINUE.
2. Add the Last browsed block
In EasyEditor, drag a Last browsed products block onto the canvas from the left side menu.
Find the block in the Building blocks section, under Ecommerce.Select Last browsed products block, then in the left side panel select the layout you want the block to use.
Expand the Fields section and select the checkbox for the fields you want the block to display.
To change the currency of the block, expand the Settings section, then expand the Currency drop-down menu and select the currency you want.
Optionally, select the checkbox for Show currency code.Optionally, expand the Analytics section and edit the tracking for the block.
To apply your default tracking values to links in the product block, select the Reset to defaults checkbox.
To change the values applied to your tracking parameters for links in your product block, clear the Reset to defaults checkbox, and enter the values you want to use in each text field.
To add a button, expand the Button settings section and select the Display button check box. Configure the styling of the button.

Optionally, expand the Image settings section to change the default image ratio. Select the Override image sizes check box and then enter your preferred image ratio.
Design the rest of your campaign as you want it.
Select SAVE & CONTINUE.
On the plain text campaign page, select SAVE & CONTINUE.
You can't create a plain text version for abandoned cart campaigns because they contain Liquid, which is not available in plain text.
3. Test
You can send your abandoned browse campaign to your test contacts or run an Inbox and spam filter test to check that it looks exactly how you want it.
For the Last browsed products block to show its contents to a test contact, that contact must have at least one webInsight record containing the necessary browsed product fields stored against them.
To send a test abandoned browse campaign:
For Send to your test contacts, select CHOOSE CONTACTS.
For Test send, select The HTML version only.
Abandoned browse campaigns only work as HTML sends.Select SELECT TEST ADDRESS, then find and select the test email address you want to send to. You can SELECT MORE if you need to add more test addresses.
If you need to add a test address, select + NEW TEST ADDRESS and add the new address.
Select TEST SEND.
Select CONTINUE.
Check the details of your campaign.
Style your button
By default, the abandoned browse button inherits the styling of your campaign, but you might want to customise it further.
In the Button settings section of the left side menu, select either BUTTON or BORDERS depending on what you want to edit.
You can then edit the following settings:
Button settings:
Colour
Enter a HEX colour code, or use the colour picker, to choose a colour for your button.Alignment
Expand the alignment drop-down menu, then choose either Right, Left, Centre, or Full width.Padding
Enter padding values, in pixels, for both the horizontal and vertical padding.Minimum width
Enter a minimum width, in pixels, for your button.
Border settings:
Colour
Enter a HEX colour code, or use the colour picker, to choose a colour for your border.Border width
Enter a value, in pixels, to set the thickness of your border.Border radius
Enter a value, in pixels, to set the radius of your border.
Amending this value allows you to round or square the corners of your button.
