Connect Google Ads: Lead Forms to Dotdigital

Automatically sync lead form submissions from your Google Ads campaigns into Dotdigital.

Google Ads: Lead Forms make lead generation simple. When people see your ads, they can complete a form and send their details directly to you.

The Dotdigital Google Ads: Lead Forms integration automatically syncs these submissions into your Dotdigital account, so you can start nurturing new leads immediately with personalized campaigns across email, SMS, and more.


Before you start

Things you need to know:

  • You must have a Google Ads account with active lead form campaigns.

  • You must have a list in Dotdigital to receive new leads.

  • Form submissions require either an email address or mobile number to sync successfully.


1. Find the integration

  1. Go to Connect > Integrations.

  2. In the left menu, under SHOW, select Self-serve.

  3. Find Google Ads: Lead Forms, then select +ADD.

  4. Select INSTALL.

2. Connect your Google Ads account

  1. Expand the Google Ads account drop-down menu and select the account you want to connect. If you haven't connected already, create a new connection.

  2. Sign in to Google Ads. If this process is successful, a dialogue shows that the data source is linked.

  3. Select NEXT.

3. Select your campaign

  1. Expand the Campaign drop-down menu and choose the campaign that contains your lead form.

  2. Select NEXT.

4. Select your lead form

  1. Expand the Lead form drop-down menu and choose which form to sync.

  2. Select NEXT.

  • New submissions from this form automatically appear in your Dotdigital account.

5. Choose your Dotdigital List

  1. Expand the List drop-down menu and select where you want to add your new leads in Dotdigital.

  2. Select NEXT.

6. Map your form fields

  1. Under Map your form fields, choose which form fields to sync and where they should go in your Dotdigital account.

  2. Select Add mapping to create additional field mappings as needed.

  3. Select NEXT.

  • You must map either an email address or mobile number for leads to sync successfully.

7. Select a program (optional)

  1. To automatically enrol new leads in a program, expand the Program drop-down menu and choose the program you want to enrol them on. You can skip this step and set up program enrolment later if you prefer.

  2. Select Save to complete the integration setup.

Your Google Ads lead form submissions now automatically syncs to your chosen Dotdigital List. New leads can be enrolled in programs and added to campaigns to start your nurturing journey right away
