Create a contact card for MMS

Create a contact card that allows you to easily send your company contact details using MMS.

Contact cards, also known as vCards or Virtual Contact Files (VCF), are a standardised file format used for exchanging business and contact information. They can be sent with MMS, making it easy for recipients to import your contact details into their address book.


Before you start

Things you need to know:

  • Contact cards can only be sent with MMS.


Create a contact card

  1. In Dotdigital, expand the User menu, then go to Settings > SMS/MMS > Contact card.

  2. Enter your company contact details in the form. Learn more about each field in the Contact card fields table.

  3. Once complete, select SAVE.

Company name

The name of the company displayed on the contact card.

Max characters: 20.

The company's phone number, which must be registered with us and enabled for MMS.

The company's logo image.

  • Format: JPEG, PNG

  • Min size: 800x800px

  • Quality: 300 DPI

URL

The company's website URL.

Email

The company's email address for contact purposes.

Street address 1

The primary street address of the company.

Street address 2

Additional address information, if needed.

City/Town

The city or town where the company is located.

State/County

The state or county where the company is located.

Postal/ZIP Code

The postal or ZIP code for the company's location.

Country

The country where the company is located.

Optional


Send your contact card

When creating an MMS message, for Include contact card, select Yes. The contact card is then included in your MMS.
