Bounce settings allow you to control how many consecutive soft bounces an email address can return before it's added to your suppression list.

A lower number helps protect your sending reputation; a higher number helps to avoid suppressing contacts who are legitimate but having a short-term issue with their email address.

Bounce settings are only applicable to a contact’s email address. If the contact also has a subscribed mobile number, this remains subscribed.

Adjust the soft bounce setting

  1. Expand the User menu in the bottom left, and go to Settings > Email > Suppression settings.

  2. Either drag the slider or enter a number from 1-20 into the Soft bounces before suppressing an email address field.
    The default setting is 20.

  3. Select SAVE BOUNCE SETTINGS.
