Before you start
Things you need to know:
To be able to use transactional emails in the connector, you'll first need to ask your Dotdigital account manager to enable Dotdigital's transactional email service within your account.
All transactional emails sent from Dotdigital must use a custom from address that's already been set up in your Dotdigital account. If the from address set up in Adobe Commerce doesn't exist in Dotdigital then we alter the transactional email's from address to your account's default from address.

Use Dotdigital's transactional email
The Adobe Commerce integration uses the simple sending method of SMTP and is purely a delivery mechanism for all the transactional emails you already have set up in Adobe Commerce.
By using Dotdigital's transactional email service, you benefit from not only improved deliverability of your transactional emails but also greater visibility and insight into the sends and clicks for these communications.
Set up transactional email in Adobe Commerce
After creating a transactional email user in Dotdigital, you need to add the email address (referred to as the Username in the connector) and password to the connector's Transactional Emails section.

To do this:
Go to Stores > Configuration > DOTDIGITAL > Transactional Emails and find the heading Transactional Email Settings.

Select the Password field and enter a password.
Select Save Config.
Provided all the details are correct, you're now set up in the connector.
