The connector can sync campaign statistics from Dotdigital to Microsoft Dynamics. By default, if the email campaign is sent directly from Dotdigital the basic level of data is synchronised. The basic synchronisation level includes data such as the total number sent, total opens, and total clicks.

You can change the sync level if more detailed information is needed, such as the individual actions performed by contacts who received the campaign. This level of data is displayed in the campaign report and on a contact's Engagement timeline.

Apply Detailed synchronisation

  1. Go to Dotdigital > Email Campaigns.

If you are using the Classic Interface you need to access Email Campaigns from the ribbon under Marketing > Email Campaigns.

  2. Select the name of the Email Campaign.

  3. Select More options (three dots icon) from the menu and then select Administration.

In the Classic Interface you need to select Administration at the bottom of the page.

  4. Change the Synchronisation Level to Detailed (Basic plus individual tracking).

To apply this setting for multiple synchronised email campaigns:

  1. Go to Dotdigital > Email Campaigns.

  2. Select the Email Campaigns.

  3. Select Edit.

  4. In the Change multiple records window, select Administration.

  5. Change the Synchronisation Level to Detailed (Basic plus individual tracking).

  6. Select Change.

Set Detailed sync level for all campaigns

A Workflow can be set up to allow the level of synchronisation to be altered to Detailed. If you're not familiar with Workflows, reach out to your CRM Administrator.
