When you sync Contact Scoring from Dotdigital to Salesforce, there are five new fields available for your contacts, leads and person accounts:

  • Overall Score

  • Engagement Score

  • Suitability Score

  • Score Label

  • Latest Score Evaluation

You first need to make modifications to the layout of your contact, lead and person account pages to display these fields.

Before you start

Things you need to know:

  • You must have Contact scoring enabled on your Dotdigital account.

  • Contact scoring is only supported for Dotdigital for Salesforce version 2.40 or later.

Modify page layouts for contact scoring

Each of your Contact, Lead and, if you use them, Person account page layouts need to be edited to add the five new Contact scoring fields.

To select a page layout to edit:

  1. Select the Setup cog and then Setup in the top right.

  2. Search for Object using the search bar.

  3. Select Object Manager.

  4. Select the page type you want to edit - Contact, Lead or Person Account - from the LABEL column.

  5. Select Page Layouts from the left side menu.

  6. Select a Page Layout Name to edit it.

Once you have selected a layout, the steps below apply to Contact, Lead and Person Accounts layouts. You need to make the changes to each of the page types that you use in Salesforce.

To add the Contact scoring fields to a page layout:

  1. When you open a page layout to edit it, the Fields area is shown by default. Drag Section into the Contact/Lead/Person Account Detail area.

  2. You see the Section Properties window. Enter Scoring as the Section Name and then select OK.

    2. Latest Score Evaluation

    3. Overall Score

    4. Score Label

    5. Suitability Score

  4. For each of the fields, select the Properties icon, select the Read-Only checkbox and then select OK.

  5. Select Save at the top of the page.

You must repeat these steps for each of the page layouts you use.

Sync Contact scoring

By default, the sync setting for Contact scoring is set to manual only.

To activate Contact scoring, you must set it to perform a daily sync. This sync schedule aligns with Dotdigital which performs a calculation of contact scoring every 24 hours.

To do this:

  1. Select Configuration.

  2. Expand the Settings drop-down menu and select Sync options.

  3. On the Synchronisation Schedule tab, expand the Interval drop-down menu and select Daily.

  4. Select Save.

Once the first sync is complete, the new fields are populated for your contacts, leads and person accounts.
