Data displayed in the dashboard includes transactional data allowance and usage, API call usage, your overall connector health and status, data analysis for your store, and a log of your API calls to the connector.

To access:

  1. Go to Marketing Automation > Dashboard.

  2. Select the dashboard you want to view from the left side menu.

Account information

This dashboard is a useful account management tool and provides an overview of your Dotdigital account's key information and statistics.

These include:

  • your account's name, main email address and main mobile phone number

  • a list of the account's managed users

  • the available SMS send credits, the API locale

  • the API calls used in the last hour

  • the API calls remaining

  • the transactional data allowance in megabytes

  • the transactional data usage in megabytes.

Connector status

This dashboard provides a complete system status overview of the connector.

As it has to check such a large amount of information, this dashboard can take a little while to load.

Select an area to expand it and view the status statement for that particular aspect of the connector. It tells you what is enabled, what is working well and what is not working so well and may need attention.

In short, it lets you know about anything that could potentially be an issue or is causing a problem.

Data analysis

This dashboard displays key data on your sales, abandoned carts, customers and subscribers. There is also an RFM matrix (Recency, Frequency, Monetary value) for you to perform further analysis with.

In terms of sales statistics, it gives your total sales revenue, average order value, total number of orders and average orders created per day. In terms of abandoned carts statistics, it provides your total revenue lost in abandoned carts, the average revenue lost in an abandoned cart, the total number of abandoned carts and the average abandoned carts created per day. Your total number of customers and the average amount of customers created per day are listed, as well as the same statistics for subscribers. The amount of subscribers who are also customers is provided too.

Connector logs

This page is a viewer to the log file that the Dotdigital extension creates and uses. By default we only show the last 10,000 lines of the log, but this is normally sufficient. This log can be found in your default Magento log location on the server and is called connector_api.log.

When I select Dashboard, why am I redirected to the API credentials screen?

This means you either don't have valid API details or simply don't have any entered. You can only access the dashboard area with enabled, valid and saved API credentials.

In Connector Status, I have numerous warnings about conflicts. Is this a problem?

Most of the time conflicts don't cause any issues. However, if you are experiencing issues with the connector this is a good place to start looking for what might be causing it.

When I view Connector Logs, recent activity for the connector is not showing. Why is this?

You need to enable logging for this. You can do this in System > Configuration > DOTMAILER > Developer > Debug.
