Data sync settings for Shopify to Dotdigital

Learn how to turn data sync on and off and run a manual sync for your Shopify to Dotdigital app.

You can turn data sync on and off, run a manual sync, or check the connection settings of your app.

Enforcing double opt-in for subscribers?

If you resubscribe subscribers using the Accepts email marketing status in Shopify, be aware that when your data syncs, we automatically send Double opt-in confirmation emails from your Dotdigital account. To learn more, check out the article Turn on double opt-in for Shopify subscribers.

Turn on data sync

To turn data sync on for Dotdigital to Shopify:

  1. Go to Integration hub.
  2. Under the Active tab, select Shopify.
  3. Under Connected store, for Data sync, select ON.
  4. Select SAVE.

Turn off data sync

To turn data sync off:

  1. Go to Integration hub.
  2. Under the Active tab, select Shopify.
  3. Under Connected store, for Data sync, select OFF.
  4. Select SAVE.

Run a manual data sync

To run a manual data sync for Dotdigital to Shopify:

  1. Go to Integration hub.
  2. Under the Active tab, select Shopify.
  3. Under Connected store, for Data sync, select SYNC NOW.
