Once you import your Marketplacer data into Dotdigital, you can start to take advantage of our automation and commerce intelligence tools to enrich your marketing and customer engagement. The integration allows you to sync contact, product, and order data.

Benefits

With your Marketplacer commerce data syncing to Dotdigital, here are just some of the things you can do:

Before you start

Things you need to know:

  • It’s possible to use Marketplacer as either a Seller or an Operator. You must be a Marketplacer Operator to use the integration.

  • Sync direction for your data is one-way, Marketplacer to Dotdigital.

  • Abandoned carts are not automatically configured as part of the integration, but we may be able to assist with setting up abandoned carts depending on the configuration of your Marketplacer site.

Activate the integration

To activate the Marketplacer integration, you must contact us. We need to support the installation to make sure it’s correctly configured and works as expected.

Features

The features of the Marketplacer integration:

  • Syncs three data types:

    • Subscribed and non-subscribed contacts

    • Order data

    • Product catalog

Contact data

Your Marketplacer contacts are synced into a Dotdigital list called Marketplacer Contacts. If you have chosen to sync both subscribed and non-subscribed contacts, you can use a segment based on the NEWSLETTER_SUBSCRIBE data field to differentiate between the two.

List selection

If you want your Marketplacer contacts to be added to a different list on sync, you can discuss this with us during the integration setup. Alternatively, you could use an automated program to move contacts from the Marketplacer subscribers list to another list of your choice.

The integration syncs the following contact details:

  • Email

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Full name

The integration also creates and syncs these custom data fields:

  • BILLING_ADDRESS_1

  • BILLING_ADDRESS_2

  • BILLING_CITY

  • BILLING_COMPANY

  • BILLING_COUNTRY

  • BILLING_POSTCODE

  • BILLING_STATE

  • BILLING_TELEPHONE

  • CUSTOMER_ACTIVE

  • CUSTOMER_ID

  • CUSTOMER_TYPE

  • CUSTOMER_USER_GROUP

  • DOB

  • NEWSLETTER_SUBSCRIBE
