Before you start
Things you need to know:
Two-way chat and chatbots are not currently supported with our WhatsApp integration. Instead, you can use an auto-responder.
This autoresponder is sent every time a contact replies, with no frequency limitations. Users cannot define any keywords to trigger this message.
Create an auto-responder for WhatsApp
In Dotdigital, go to Connect > Integrations. Then, search for auto-responder.
Select +ADD, then select INSTALL.
Read about the integration, then select NEXT.
For Channel selection, choose the channels you want your auto-responder to respond to. In this case, select WhatsApp.
For Number selection, expand the Numbers to monitor drop-down menu, then select ALL.
For Response message, enter the message you want the auto-responder to reply with. Try to keep it short. Especially for SMS.
Select NEXT, then select FINISH.
That’s it. Your auto-responder is set up.
