With unified contacts, there are a number of changes to the data you can access in the segment builder:

  • You can include SMS engagement in your rules in the same way as you can for email engagement.
This allows you to build a fuller, more detailed picture of how your contacts are interacting with you, and what the best ways to reach them might be.
There are two new SMS engagement options to use in your segments: Clicks and Sends.

  • You can segment contacts based on their mobile number country. This allows you to target your SMS messages specifically based on location. For example, you might want to include regional website links, and ensure these are targeted to the correct contacts.

  • You can filter contacts based on their channel subscription status, so, whether they have a subscribed mobile number, email address, or both.

  • You can access your SMS data fields in the segment builder.
