An active program is a program that is actively running – enrolling contacts and sending emails according to its rules. It can't be edited or deleted.
However, enrolment can be disabled and resumed for an active program, plus it can be viewed, copied, and deactivated.
An active program lets you know that it's active in the information message at the top of the program builder.
Disable and resume enrolments
You can turn off enrolments for a program without having to deactivate it. This lets contacts who are already enrolled continue to progress through it; however, your program won't enrol any more contacts.
Contact enrolment priority
If a contact is directly enrolled into a program through Surveys, pages, and forms, a list, from another program, or by an API, these direct enrolments take priority over the Disable contact enrolment option.
You can also resume enrolments after having disabled them.
Disable program enrolment
To disable enrolment for a program:
Go to Automation > Programs, and select the program you want to disable enrolments for.
Expand the UTILITIES drop-down menu, and select Disable contact enrolment.
This instantly disables enrolments - and the information message will change to confirm this.
Resume program enrolment
To resume enrolments:
Go to Automation > Programs, and select the program you want to disable enrolments for.
Expand the UTILITIES drop-down menu, and select Enable contact enrolment.
View active programs
To view an active program, go to Automation > Programs.
Copy a program
To copy an active program:
Go to Automation > Programs.
Find the program you want to copy, and select Copy.
This creates an editable draft version of the program in the All programs list. This is useful if you want to make a new program based on a similar structure and don't want to recreate it from scratch.
Deactivate a program
To deactivate a program:
Go to Automation > Programs, and select the program you want to deactivate.
Select DEACTIVATE THIS PROGRAM.
If the program has ever enrolled any contacts it will change to a Deactivated state. If it has never enrolled any contacts, it will revert to a Draft state.
Active programs limit
You can have a maximum of 50 active programs in your account.
We warn you when you have 45 active programs and are nearing your limit.
Once you reach the maximum number of active programs, you must deactivate one or more programs before you can activate any new programs.
If you need an additional active program allowance, speak to your Customer Success representative.
