Before you start
Things you need to know:
This article assumes you are either editing or creating a new survey, page, or form.
1. Add a Dropdown block
Expand the Form block menu, then drag the Dropdown block onto the EasyEditor canvas.
On the Dropdown block, select Type question here and enter your own question.
2. Edit the block settings
Select the block to open the Settings menu.
If an answer is required, select the Required answer check box.
If you want to show a default value on the drop-down menu, select the Show empty value check box. Then in the Empty value text box enter your default value.
If you want to add an Other option and text box to your drop-down menu, select the Allow other check box. Then in the Allow other text box, enter the text for your other option.
If you want to add a watermark to the text box, in the Watermark box, enter the text you want to use.
3. Add drop-down options
You can choose either predefined options or create your own custom ones.
Pre-defined options
The predefined options let you create popular drop-down options quickly. You can choose pre-defined options for:
Age groups
Cities in the UK
Counties in the UK
Countries in the World
Days
Duration
Frequency
Months
Strongly disagree to Strongly agree
Timezones
US states
To add predefined options to your drop-down menu:
Select the block to open the settings menu.
From the Settings menu, select CHOOSE A PREDEFINED LIST.
From the Choose a predefined list side-panel, expand the Choose a list drop-down menu.
Select the predefined list you want to use.
Select APPLY.
If you want to add a default option, in the settings menu, expand the Default selection drop-down menu and choose a default option.
Create a custom list
Sometimes, you might need a list that isn’t in the predefined options. To create your own custom list:
Select the block to open the Settings menu.
From the Settings menu, select EDIT LIST.
From the Edit list side-panel, in the Edit your list box, enter a list item.
Select the + icon.
Repeat for all your custom list items.
Select APPLY.
Enable autocomplete
Autocomplete provides automated assistance to contacts entering form field values.
To edit your form block's autocomplete settings:
Select the form block.
Select the Settings tab.
Expand the Autocomplete drop-down menu and choose one of the following options:
On
By default, autocomplete is set to On. This means the browser makes an educated guess and autocompletes the field based on the information it has when a contact enters their answer.Off
This prevents the browser from autocompleting the form field.
