Start an SMS free trial

In some cases, you can self-serve SMS set up on your account.

Before you start

Things you need to know:

  • You can’t set up an SMS free trial for sending in the USA or Canada. A registered sending number is required in these regions.

  • An SMS free trial is only available on certain account packages. Contact your Customer Success representative to check eligibility.


Set up an SMS free trial

Your SMS free trial includes 10 free SMS sends.

To set up the SMS free trial on your account:

  1. Go to Campaigns > SMS.

  2. Under Let's get you set up with SMS, select I'm just looking. Let’s start with a free trial.

  3. Select START TRIAL.

After you start the trial, we create a default alphanumeric from name using your account’s company name. You can send messages from this from name, but it can’t receive replies.

To test inbound SMS, you must purchase an inbound number.


Upgrade your free trial

When your SMS free trial ends, you need to upgrade to send SMS in a live environment.

  1. Go to Campaigns > SMS.

  2. Select You're currently on an SMS trial. Upgrade now.

  3. Follow the on screen instructions.

Purchase a number

  1. Go to Campaigns > SMS.

  2. Under Let's get you set up, select I’m ready to go. Let’s do this.

  3. Select PURCHASE NUMBER and follow the instructions.
