By split testing your SMS campaigns, you can hone your skills and make sure your campaigns are getting results.
Before you start
Things you need to know:
SMS split testing works by comparing SMS campaign clicks. This means that you must include a link in each version of your split test, and links must be shortened. We automatically switch on link shortening when you set up your split test SMS campaign.
Set up a split test SMS campaign
Go to Campaigns and select the quick-create icon for SMS.
Enter a name for your campaign and select the tick icon.
Select CAMPAIGN OPTIONS and:
For Send type, select BROADCAST.
Set Split test to On.
We automatically turn on Shorten links for you, as SMS split tests need this to work.
Create content for your split test SMS version
In the the SMS editor select the version tab you want to edit.
You must edit all versions individually. You can choose a different from name for each individual version.
To add a new version, select the + symbol. To remove a version, select the X symbol next to the version name.
You must always have at least two versions (A and B) for a split test SMS campaign.
Enter your message content for the selected version.
You must add a link in your message; all SMS split test versions must contain a link.
Optionally, expand the Sender drop-down menu to choose a from name for your message version.
Repeat the process from Step 3 for all versions of your SMS campaign.
Select SAVE & CONTINUE.
