Product recommendations use the product name and SKU to uniquely identify your products by default. This configuration is reliable, especially if your catalogue contains missing or duplicated SKUs. Change the unique product identifier to better match your catalogue structure.

Understand the configuration options
These fields represent values typically found in both your catalogue and order data, and are used to link the two data sets reliably.
Unique product identifier | Description |
Name + SKU (default) | Best for most cases. Flexible with imperfect product data, such as missing or duplicate SKUs. |
SKU | Works if all products have a unique SKU. More restrictive than the default, but allows flexibility. For example, changing product names while maintaining their link to orders. |
Name | If no SKU is present and product names are the only possible identifier. |
