Before you start
Things you need to know:
You must first perform the migration on your sandbox account, and then, once you're happy with the results, repeat it on your production account.
We recommend a full resync initially of data to ensure the data reflects the new settings.
Update NetSuite with the migrator tool
If you're currently using our legacy NetSuite integration, the migrator tool allows you to easily transfer settings from that integration to our upgraded NetSuite integration.
1. Prepare your NetSuite environment
There are some steps you must take to make to make sure your NetSuite instance is ready for the improved integration.
Follow the steps in Prepare your NetSuite environment for the Dotdigital integration.
Once you've done this, return here and continue with the steps below.
2. Use the NetSuite migrator tool
When using the migrator tool, it retrieves settings from your legacy NetSuite integration and uses these settings to create a new NetSuite integration within your account.
To use the migrator tool:
In Dotdigital, go to Connect.
Select Integrations, then search for NetSuite migrator.
Select +ADD to install the NetSuite Migrator.
Enter your NetSuite credentials.
Enter your NetSuite account ID, then select NEXT.
Expand the On first sync drop-down menu, then choose either:
Perform a fresh sync (all data)
Performs a fresh sync of all your data when you enable the updated integration.Continue from the last sync.
Continues syncing from the last sync of the current integration when you enable the updated integration.
Select Finish.
3. Review the settings on the new integration
Check the new integration settings to ensure they have migrated correctly.
To check the settings of the new integration:
In Dotdigital, go to Connect.
Select the new Oracle NetSuite tile.
Select Settings to review your settings.
If the settings are not correct, you have two options:
Manually update them in the new NetSuite integration.
Run the migration tool again. When you return a second time, the tool allows you to re-run the settings migration.
4. Disable the legacy integration
If you are satisfied with the settings, you must disable the legacy version before enabling the new version.
To disable the legacy integration:
In Dotdigital, go to Connect.
Select the Oracle NetSuite (Legacy) tile.
For Enable or disable the integration, select Disable.
5. Enable the new NetSuite integration
In Dotdigital, go to Connect.
Select the Oracle NetSuite tile.
For Enable or disable the integration, select Enable.
5. Delete the old NetSuite integration and Migration tool
Once you‘re happy the new NetSuite integration is working correctly, you can delete the old integration and the migration tool.
To delete the old NetSuite integration:
In Dotdigital, go to Connect.
Select the Oracle NetSuite (Legacy) tile.
Make sure you have selected the Legacy tile.For Permanently delete this integration, select Delete.
To delete the NetSuite migration tool:
In Dotdigital, go to Connect.
Select the NetSuite migrator tile.
For Permanently delete this integration, select Delete.
