Before you start

Things you need to know:

  • If you want to connect multiple storefronts to your account make sure you are on a plan that allows this. For more information contact your account manager or Customer Success representative.

  • You can assign Adobe Commerce storefronts to your Dotdigital parent account or child accounts. Learn more about multiple storefronts and why you might want to use them in Connect multiple storefronts to Dotdigital.

  • You can also connect multiple different stores to your Dotdigital account. Learn more in Connect another store to your account.

Connect multiple Adobe Commerce storeviews

To connect multiple Adobe Commerce storeviews to your Dotdigital account:

  1. Go to Connect, then select your connected Adobe Commerce store integration.

  2. On the store details page you can see all of the storefronts connected to your Adobe Commerce account, their channel IDs, and if any Dotdigital accounts are connected to them.

  3. To assign a storefront to your Dotdigital parent account or a child account, select Choose account, choose an account from the list and select SELECT, then select CONNECT to confirm.

    • After selecting your account the connection status updates to Connecting, and should change to Yes within a few seconds.

If your storefront fails to connect an error status displays with the reason in a banner at the top of the page.

Disconnect a storefront

To disconnect a storefront from your Dotdigital parent account or a child account:

  1. Select the connected account.

  2. Select DISCONNECT, then select YES.

Any data that you have already synced from your storefront remains in your Dotdigital account after disconnecting.

Manage account settings

After connecting your Adobe Commerce storefront to your Dotdigital account you can select the settings icon to open the storefront settings. From here you can change the way your storefront behaves with your connected Dotdigital account:

Store settings

  • Enable and disable data syncs.

  • Enable and disable double opt-in.

  • Sync customers and subscribers to Dotdigital lists.

  • Manage abandoned cart and automation settings.

Learn more in Data syncing.

Field mapping settings

  • Map your customer fields to Dotdigital data fields.

Duplicate data fields

Contact data fields that are mapped to more than one storefront run the risk of repeatedly overwriting a contact’s data with the most recent modification from each connected storefront. To prevent this risk, we suggest mapping these customer fields to separate contact data fields for each storefront.

Transactional email settings

  • Set up transactional email templates.

Learn more in Transactional email.
