Address book and segment stats to Google Sheets

Learn to integrate your Dotdigital address books and segment stats to Google Sheets.

Overview

This automation lets you record, monitor, and analyse how many contacts were in your address books and segments using Google Sheets.

How it works:

  • Automatically populate your Google sheets with the latest address book and segmentation data.
  • The data saved to the Google spread sheet contains the following properties: id, type, contact count and name.
  • Options to create a new sheet per day or update an existing sheet.
  • Options to either update the existing address book and segmentation stats with the latest data or append to the data set.

Before you start

Things you need to know:

Step 1: Connect integration

To connect Address book and segment stats to Google Sheets integration to your Google account:

  1. Go to Integration hub > Self-serve > Address book and segment stats to Google Sheets.
  2. Select Use integration.
  3. Select + Connect your Google Sheets and enter your Google email address and login credentials.
  4. Expand the Select what dotdigital can access drop-down menu, select See, edit, create and delete all your Google Sheets spreadsheets.

  5. Select Continue, Ok, and Next to proceed.
  • If you have trouble authorising the connection, you might need to verify the action inside your Google account settings.
  • If you want to connect to more than one Google account select + Add another Google Sheets connection.

Step 2: Settings

To set your integration to your preferred settings:

  1. Open the Single or daily spreadsheet drop-down menu and choose Single Sheet or Daily Sheet.
  2. For Name of spreadsheet, enter the name of the sheet to save the data to.
  3. Select Next.

  4. Open the Update or append rows drop-down menu and choose Update, Append hours, or Append daily.
  5. Select Next.

  6. Open the Timezone drop-down menu and choose your timezone.

  7. Select Next.
  8. The integration is connected and data will push to your Google sheets. Select Home to go back to the Integration hub.

Address book and segments stats to Google Sheets can now be accessed from your Google drive.
