Use WinstonAI to analyse text-based responses to your forms.

WinstonAI summarises responses for each eligible question into common topics and sub‑topics raised by respondents. This allows you to quickly identify key topics and discover potential action points without manually sifting through the data.

Before you start

Things you need to know:

  • WinstonAI only summarises text-based questions. This includes the Other option for dropdown, multiple choice, and checkbox list questions. Text-based questions for which a summary would not be useful, like Name or Email address, are automatically excluded.

  • Winston AI can only analyse the most recent 1,000 responses.

  • The summary is regenerated each time you visit the AI summary tab for a form. This means that the summary can differ slightly each time you generate it, even if no new responses have been submitted.

Generate an AI summary for a form

  1. Go to Analytics > Reports.

  2. Expand the MORE REPORTS drop-down menu and select Surveys, pages, and forms.

  3. Select the form name you want to view the responses for.

  4. Select the AI summary tab.

A message appears to confirm that WinstonAI is working on the form responses.

If the selected form has no text-based questions that WinstonAI can analyse, you see a No text summary available for this form message.

Once the analysis is complete, each eligible question appears in its own collapsible section of the summary report where you can view each of the main identified topics found in the responses, as well as sub-topics to give you a greater level of detail.

To expand or collapse each question summary, select the ^ arrow icon in the top right of the section.
