A seed list is a list of email addresses that are automatically sent a copy of every campaign sent to 2000 contacts or more.

It's a good idea to use a seed list, as it lets anyone on it monitor sending activity for marketing emails sent from your account.

The seed list doesn't apply to transactional emails.

Before you start

Things you need to know:

  • A seed list can contain a maximum of 25 email addresses.

  • Sends to a seed list don't count towards your send allowance.

  • Sends to your seed list don't appear in reporting.

  • If your campaign includes dynamic content, the data pulled through is the data of the account owner and not the seed list email addresses.

  • Any external dynamic content doesn't work for sends to seed list contacts.

Add users to the seed list

  1. Expand the User menu, then go to Settings > Contacts > Email seed list.

  2. For Emails, enter the email addresses you'd like to add to your seed list. Only enter one email address per line.

  3. Select UPDATE.

Remove users from the seed list

  1. Expand the User menu, then go to Settings > Contacts > Email seed list.

  2. For Emails, delete any user email addresses you'd like to remove from your seed list.

  3. Select UPDATE.
