Before you start
Things you need to know:
Some of your customers may not have opted in to your marketing messages when they created an account with you or bought a product from your store. If any of your programs send messages to your contacts, make sure that you enrol only subscribers on those programs.
You must have created programs and set them to active in order to be able to enrol your customers and subscribers on to them.

Automation settings
To access your subscriber and customer automation settings, in Dotdigital, go to Connect and select the Salesforce Commerce Cloud tile under Installed integrations and extensions. Find the heading Automation.
Enrol new customers to a program
A customer is defined as a contact who has created an account in your store.
Expand the Enrol new customers to drop-down menu.
Choose the program you want to enrol new Salesforce Commerce Cloud customers on.
Select SAVE.
Enrol new subscribers to a program
Expand the Enrol new subscribers to drop-down menu.
Choose the program you want to enrol new Salesforce Commerce Cloud subscribers on.
Select SAVE.
Contacts can be re-enrolled into the program you selected for Enrol new subscribers to if they are removed from the list you selected for your subscribers and then become a subscriber in your store.

Enrol customers on each new order to a program
Expand the Enrol customers on each new order to drop-down menu.
Choose the program you want to enrol Salesforce Commerce Cloud customers making a new order on.
Select SAVE.
Enrol customers on their first order to a program
Expand the Enrol customers on their first order to drop-down menu.
Choose the program you want to enrol Salesforce Commerce Cloud customers making their first order on.
Select SAVE.
