Before you start
Things you need to know:
You can set up and customise Chat directly from your Dotdigital account.

Enable Chat in Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce
Go to Stores > Configuration > DOTDIGITAL > Chat Settings.
Expand the Enabled drop-down menu and select Yes.
Select SAVE Config.
Configure Chat settings
Go to Stores > Configuration > DOTDIGITAL > Chat Settings.
For Configure Chat, select Configure.
This opens the Chat settings page in your connected Dotdigital account. From here you can:

Enable Chat team permissions
The users in your Dotdigital account must be granted permission to access Chat as agents, to do this:
