You can choose to enrol contacts into a program when certain visitor actions take place on your site, or when a contact's order status changes.
Add contacts to a program
From a visitor action
Create the programs you need in your Dotdigital account.
Learn more in the Program builder section of the Help Centre.In Magento, go to System > Configuration > Dotdigital > Automation.
Select Visitor action automation enrolment.
Expand the drop-down menus and select the appropriate program into which you want to enrol each type of contact.
Select Save Config.
If you enable automation enrolment for the New Customer visitor action, you must disable the default Magento email, which is labelled Customer Success.
If you enable automation enrolment for the New Subscriber visitor action, you must disable the default Magento email, which is labelled Newsletter Success.
To disable a default Magento email, go to System > Configuration > Dotdigital > Configuration > Admin.
From an order status change
Create the programs you need in your Dotdigital account.
Learn more in the Program builder section of the Help Centre.In Magento, go to System > Configuration > Dotdigital > Automation.
Select Order status automation enrolment.
Select the order status type to base the enrolment on.
Select the program you'd like to enrol contacts into for this order status type.
Select Save Config.
Select Add New Enrolment to create more order status type enrolments.
I don't seem to have any programs to select from. Why is that?
This could either be because your API credentials are invalid or you have not yet set up a program in your Dotdigital account.

The feature works by batching and enrolling contacts into programs every 15 minutes.
