Add contact scoring to your account

Learn how to add the Contact scoring feature to your Dotdigital account.

Overview

Contact scoring gives you a way to score and rank your contacts based on two key metrics, scored between 0-100:

  • Engagement - scored on contacts' interaction and behaviours, such as campaign opens, link clicks, and visits to your website
  • Suitability - scored on contacts' profile information, such as their job title, industry sector, and location

These metrics combine to produce a third metric - an overall contact score.

To use Contact scoring, you first need to add it to your account.

Before you start

Things you need to know:

  • Contact scoring is included in the Amplify plan. To otherwise access Contact scoring, you can either upgrade your plan or purchase Contact scoring as an additional feature.
To check which plan you're on, go to Settings ( ⋮ ) > Account. This will take you to the Usage tab, which contains your plan's name.
  • Only account owners or users with the Can manage account permission enabled can add features to an account. If you're neither, then you need to speak to a team member who does have the required permission.

Add Contact scoring

The way the feature is added and charged for may differ depending upon your account's region.
