Learn why you might choose to spread your SMS campaign sends over a set time.
Overview
You can spread your SMS campaign sends over a set time of 1 to 24 hours, to make sure your contacts don't all receive the message at the same time.
If you're sending a campaign that requires a reply or action from the contact, this feature is perfect for controlling the rate of responses.
Set the send speed
You can set the send speed on the Send campaign page while you’re creating a campaign.
To learn more about how and where this fits into the sending process, check out the article Create, test, and send an SMS campaign.
We divide the campaign's audience into 100-contact blocks, and then gradually send the campaign to each block over the time you choose. Therefore, to spread a send, you must send the SMS campaign to a minimum of 100 contacts.
You can use the default sending speed, meaning as soon as possible, or spread the campaign send out over 1, 2, 3, 6, 12 or 24 hours.
