Segments are a group of contacts who fit a set of criteria that you have defined. As a contact's data changes, they may therefore move in or out of a segment based on whether they currently fit those criteria.
For this reason, you might create a segment and want to save the set of contacts it generates, so that you can refresh and reuse the segment in future without losing this contact set. To do this, you can copy a segment to a list or convert the segment into a new list.

If you want to copy a segment to a new list, you must create the list first before following the below steps.
When you convert a segment to a list, the original segment is deleted and can’t be recovered.
Copy a segment to a list
Go to Audience > Segments.
Select the check box for the segments you want to copy into a list.
Expand the MORE ACTIONS drop-down menu, and select Copy to list.
Select the check box for the list you want to copy to.
Select CONTINUE.
To confirm select OK.
Convert a segment to a list
It’s useful to convert a segment into a list if you have created a segment that you don’t want to refresh or change in the future.
To convert a segment to a list:
Go to Audience > Segments.
Select the check box for the segment you want to convert into a list.
Expand the MORE ACTIONS menu, and select Convert to list.
Select OK.
