The Add contact node is used to add contacts to lists or to other programs in your account.

For example, you can use the Add contact node to automatically subscribe contacts to your regular newsletter series or add them to your lead nurturing program once they've reached the end of a welcome series.

Before you start

Things you need to know:

Use the Add contact node

  1. In the program builder, select and drag the Add contact node from the side panel and drop it onto the canvas in the required position.

  2. Select the Add contact node to open the configuration panel.

  3. Select whether you want contacts to be Added to the selected lists or Added to program.

  4. Select SELECT LIST or SELECT PROGRAM.

    • The Added to the selected lists option allows you to create a brand new list by selecting NEW LIST.

    • The Added to program option allows you to create a brand new program by selecting NEW PROGRAM.

  5. Select the radio button for the list or program you want contacts to be added to.

    • You can search for lists or programs by name using the search bar at the top of the panel.

    • You can select a single list or program, or you can hold the Ctrl key to select multiple lists or programs.

    • After selecting a list or program, you're taken back to the side panel, which shows your selected lists or programs.

  6. Select APPLY.

Your node is set, and when activated, your program automatically adds contacts to your selected lists or programs when they arrive at that point in the program.
