To test this function, you can easily change the language settings in your browser.

The instructions below apply to Chrome - but you'll find other browsers can be changed along similar lines:

  1. Click on the three vertical dots in the far top right corner of your browser (where it says 'Customize and control Google Chrome' when mousing over it)
  2. Click on Settings from the menu
  3. The 'Settings' tab will open. Scroll down to the foot of the page and click on Advanced.
  4. Scroll down to the 'Languages' section and click on Language
  5. The 'Language' section will expand. Click on Add languages.
  6. The 'Add languages' selector will open. Choose an appropriate language to test from the dropdown and click Add.
  7. Click on the three vertical dots alongside the newly added language, tick 'Display Google Chrome in this language' and then click Relaunch

Your Chrome browser windows will close and will relaunch in the new language.

Preview your campaign and click on the Unsubscribe link to see the page displayed in the language you selected.

Here's an example of the 'Unsubscribe' page in French.

UnsubscribeFrench.pngOnce you've finished your testing, make sure you change your browser language settings back to the original default.

Do this by going to the same browser settings area as before, but this time ensure your preferred language is reset as the one your browser's displayed in (don't be thrown though, as you'll need to negotiate this in the previous language you just added!). After doing so, you'll again need to relaunch the browser for the change to take effect.

    Hi Stoo

Have you added any more languages since this post was written? If there is a language I wish that isn't there how easy is it for you to add it please?

    Hi Holly,

We have subsequently added Russian, so it is now 15 different languages!

With regards to adding a new language, this is something we have to consider a little carefully, as once we commit to it we have to ensure we maintain it. Thus we hope you can understand our need to feel there is a worthwhile demand for it.

If you do feel strongly about a language that you’d like to see added, then please do raise it with your account manager.
