Run a manual data sync

  1. Go to Connect and select the BigCommerce tile under Installed integrations and extensions.

  2. Under Connected store, for Data sync, select SYNC NOW.

Data sync

When data sync is turned on, the connector syncs your contacts, orders, and catalogue information between BigCommerce and Dotdigital every five minutes from the completion of the last sync has finished.

How long a sync takes to complete is dependent on how much data you have to synchronise. For example, first time syncs with a lot of data could take several hours.

How synchronisation works

Automatic synchronisation of your BigCommerce customers' order histories and of your BigCommerce product catalogue requires Insight data and AccountInsight to be enabled on your account respectively.

To learn more, contact your Customer Success representative.

Order synchronisation

Your BigCommerce customers' order histories are automatically synchronised upon installation. This data gets synced to your account's Insight data collections for contacts. You can then segment based on contact order data to target your customers more effectively.

Product synchronisation

All of your visible products in BigCommerce are also automatically synchronised upon installation. This data gets synced to your AccountInsight Catalog_Default collection. You can then make use of EasyEditor's product block.

Signup form synchronisation

When a user subscribes to your marketing newsletters using your subscription form in BigCommerce, they are synchronised to your subscriber list in Dotdigital. Your subscriber's list can contain subscribed customers, guests, as well as contacts who have subscribed.

Delete a customer

Deleting a customer or their information from your connected store does not delete the customer data in Dotdigital. To delete customer data from Dotdigital, you must do it manually within Dotdigital. Learn more.
