Use the Surveys, pages, and forms report to understand how your surveys, pages, and forms are performing.

The report contains:

  • Visitor counts

  • Response counts

  • Responses

  • Detailed response information, such as:

    • Response summary

    • Time to complete

    • Contact updates

Before you start

Things you need to know:

  • Pages without any form blocks do not have detailed reporting.

View surveys, pages, and forms reporting

  1. Go to Analytics > Reports.

  2. Expand the MORE REPORTS drop-down menu and select Surveys, pages, and forms.

This takes you to the reports list view.

The table displays the visitor count and the number of responses to any forms.

Every single page load, regardless of whether it's the same user visiting it multiple times, or even if it's a page refresh, is counted as a single visit.

Change the display settings

To change the display settings of the report list view, select DISPLAY. There are three display options:

Field

Description

Sort by

Expand the drop-down menu to change the sort order of the list by either name or number of visits.

Folders

Switch the toggle to YES to see the folders in the left-hand side panel, or NO to see individual pages only.

Visible columns

Select the checkbox for any column you want to display in the list view. Clear the checkbox for any column you don’t want to display.

The available columns are:

  • Form responses

  • Name

  • Preview

  • Visits

To display all columns, choose Select all.

If you make any changes to these settings, select APPLY to confirm.

The form responses report

The form responses report is a more detailed report of the responses to any form elements on your page.

To view a form responses report

  1. Go to Analytics > Reports.

  2. Expand the MORE REPORTS drop-down menu and select Surveys, pages, and forms.

  3. Find the form you want to see reporting for, and then select the number in the Form responses column.

The report consists of three tabs:

  • Overview

  • Responses

  • Charts

Overview

The Overview tab shows you all the information you need to know about the responses to the form blocks on your surveys, pages, and forms:

Field

Description

Responses over time

This graph shows the number of responses daily, weekly, monthly, or hourly responses if your survey has only started within the last 24-hours.

Response summary

A pie chart showing the percentage of people that completed, didn't finish, or left without starting your form.

Time to complete

This section shows the average time, maximum time, and minimum time it took users to complete your survey.

Contact updates

For forms which contain questions assigned to contact data fields. This section shows how many contacts have been created or updated through the form. It also shows how many responses couldn't be assigned to a contact, and why.

At the top right of the overview page are two options:

  • Add the contacts who have responded to the form to a list.

  • Export the form responses to csv.

Responses

The Responses tab displays a table of each response your form has received. You can display a maximum of five questions as columns in the table.

To manage which questions you want to display:

  1. Select CHOOSE COLUMNS.

  2. Select a currently active question to set it to inactive, or select a currently inactive question to set it to active.

  3. Once you’re happy with your question choices, select APPLY.

Charts

The Charts tab allows you to create and print a visual report from your form responses.

To do this:

  1. Select a question title to expand the section and view the related responses.

The type of chart used for your question is displayed next to the question title: a table for text box, date and time, or hidden value answers; a pie chart for dropdown, multiple choice or opinion scale answers; and a bar graph for checkbox answers.

  2. To add a question to your report, select the Add to report checkbox.

  3. Once you’ve added all the questions you want to your report, select PREVIEW REPORT.

  4. Select Add a logo to upload an image to add to the top of you report.

  5. Select Rename to change the title of your report.

  6. Select Add some descriptive text to add a written summary to your report.

  7. Select PRINT.

More detailed reporting

To get more detailed reporting on your landing pages, you can add tracking code to them.

If you haven't looked into the possibility of adding tracking code before, it's probably worth thinking about in order to gain deeper insight into the behaviour of your pages' visitors.
