Chat for Magento: Bulk update contact data fields

Learn to update a data field for multiple contacts at once.

Overview

Use the bulk update contacts to update a data field on multiple contacts with just a few clicks.

Before you start

Things you need to know:

• This article is for Chat for Magento, which is no longer available to new users. If you're a Chat user, check out the articles in Email contacts and Email address books.
• When using this feature, all the contacts you want to update must be in the same address book.

Bulk update contact data field

To update a data field for multiple contacts at once:

1. Go to Contacts.
2. Select the check box for the Address book you want to update the contacts in.
3. Expand the More actions drop-down menu, then select Bulk update contacts.
4. On Bulk update contacts, expand the Data field to update drop-down menu and choose the data field you want to update.
5. In Update data field to, enter the value you want for the data field on all the selected contacts.
6. Select Update data field.
